Picture taken while we went back to MRSM Jeli to take our SPM certificate in 2004
In 2001, I was 16 years old starting
the year at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Ismail Petra (SMIP) in Beta Class and
was placed in Alfa Class that is class number one for students of form 4 (16
years old). Alfa Class is IT class and start schooling there until the month of
April 2001.
After that, I got the offer to enter
Maktab Rendah Sains MARA Jeli (MRSM Jeli), the borderless school of MARA . As a preparation, my father gave me
some money and I bought the equipment myself. I went to Pantai Timur
Hypermarket and bought some equipment such as soap, shampoo, brush teeth,
toothpaste, hair comb, hair oil, perfume, hanger, sports pants, sports shirt,
sports shoes, bucket, soap of clothes and brush of clothes. After approximately
3 hours in Hypermarket, I had done some equipments shopping in Pantai Timur
Hypermarket in centre of Kota Bharu city.
And at another day, I with my mother
went to Pasar MPKB in Kota Bharu to buy some formal equipment such as clothes
of school (brown colour both pants and long sleeve shirt) and one set of Baju
Melayu equipment. Besides that, we also bought several of towels. Then my
mother drove a car to back home.
At the day of registration of MRSM
Jeli, I with my family woke up early morning and after performing Subuh Prayer,
we went to Jeli (some District in Kelantan) as my father drove a car in order
to MRSM Jeli. The district that we had past from Kota Bharu were Pasir Mas and
Tanah Merah. We took 2 hours and 30 minutes to arrive at MRSM Jeli.
After arriving in MRSM Jeli, we
entered a big hall and my family taken a seats in the hall while I was queueing
at the long queueing as they are too many students also queueing with me in
order to give our details for registration. After one approximately 40 minutes,
my turn was came and I had given all my details too the Officer of
Registration. Then, I also took my seat in the hall and listen to the speech
from them.
Then, we respectively went to the
hostel. I found my room and entered it and started to arrange all my shirts and
pants into my locker. My family also helped me to enter my clothes into the
locker. Then after all the process of registration finished, my family asked to
back home and I kissed my mother and father`s hands before they left me with friends
in MRSM Jeli. Before that, I also given a shake hands to my siblings before
they all got back to home. The registration of the day had finished.
My stories in MRSM Jeli were I had to
washed shirts, pants, clean black shoes, sports shoes myself for first time.
Then when MRSM had a laundry service, we only had to send our clothes to
laundry and take after finishing classes study, then brang it in order to dry
under the sun besides our bottom of hostel. Before this, we had to wash, then have
to take ourselves to the dryer place. It make our life easy after the laundry
service running.
Some of funny stories in MRSM Jeli
were that I had ever stand up on the chair, sprinkled with some water in the
bucket because ran away from class, punished of cannot participate of
competition at National Standard Inter All pf MRSM of Malaysia and
and that`s all. Not too interested
much, J
As a return, I got the excellent
result of SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) and qualified to enter the fast track
way in order to further studies, I was the secretary of Sepak Takraw Club,
Committee Member of Boy Scout, participated in Competition of Website Creator
at the State of Kelantan Standard, participated in Competition of Young
Scientist Inter all of MRSM of Malaysia and could be proud too. Hehehe.. J
The diciplinaries in MRSM Jeli were
that, we have to wake up early morning before dawn, and compulsory to perform
Subuh Prayer at the small mosque of MRSM Jeli, then have to turn down to Dewan
Selera for breakfast, then back to hostel to change the clothes and after that,
we have go down to Dewan Bitara (Bitara Hall) of MRSM Jeli, have to sing a
National Song of Malaysia, sang the song of Kelantan State, have to hear the
speech from teachers of BWP (can be regard the ministers in MRSM Jeli), have to
sing Asma Ulhusna (Islamic Song) and after that, we had to go to our classes
respectively for our studies. Then in the middle of morning and afternoon, we
had a drink at Dewan Selera. At about 2.30 p.m. if I not mistaken, the class finished
and we have for eating at Dewan Selera. Then we were back to hostel and can
make a rest, then go down to class again for preparation of studies without a
teacher (compulsory). After preparation of studies finished, we have to go to
Dewant Selera for light meals and drinks.
After that, we all free and can do
what we like but it contacted with the rule of MRSM Jeli. There were some
students went to fields and courts for sports themselves and there are also
having their free time with sleeping at them rooms respectively. Then, at 6.30 p.m. , we had to go to Dewan Selera to had
a dinner, then back to hostel and took a bath and have to our small mosque in
order to perform Maghrib Prayer (compulsory). After perform Maghrib Prayer, we
have to hear the Islamic speech from Ustaz or have to recite Al-Quran ourselves
respectively if Ustaz did not have their Islamic speech on that day. Then we
had also to perform Isyak Prayer in the small mosque together.
After performing Isyak Prayer, we
have a light drinks and meals at Dewan Selera and have to go down to our
classes respectively for studies preparation after finishing our light meals
and drinks.
After the study preparation time
finished, we have to go to Dewan Selera again for light drinks and meals. Then
we could back to our hostel for rest or doing anyting as it is free time. At
sharp of midnight , at 12.a.m, we have to sleep, it was compulsory. Hehehe.. J
Ocay, that`s all about my stories in
Maktab Rendah Sains MARA Jeli (MARA Junior Science College Jeli) as the SPM
(Certificate of Malaysia Education) results, I got 5A`s and further my studies
to Kolej MARA Kulim in 2003 until 2004 as it is a same standard with A-Level.
